Corporate portrait in a suit and tie on a grey background

An international office in Paris has a particular problem: the team photos look like they were taken in three different companies. One person has a studio headshot from a previous job, another a cropped holiday picture, a third nothing at all. On a website, that reads as a company that does not hold together.

Fixing it is not a matter of equipment. It is a matter of doing every portrait in the same light, with the same framing and the same treatment, for the managing director as for the analyst who arrived last month, and of getting it done without anyone losing half a day.

Exemples

Consistent, not stiff.

Light, grey or coloured backgrounds, natural light, from tight framing to waist-up.

Méthode

What an international team usually needs.

Three things come up in almost every brief from a Paris office of a foreign group.

Everything in English.
The briefing call, the session itself and the image selection run in English. Your team is put at ease in the language it works in, which is half the result of a portrait.
One standard across locations.
A technical sheet is written at the first session: light, background, framing, retouching. Other offices, or a single new hire, can be photographed later without standing out from the rest.
Rights you can actually use.
Supports, duration and territory are written in the quote. No surprise when your headquarters wants to reuse a portrait in a global campaign.

Déroulé

Three steps, no logistics on your side.

  1. A fifteen-minute call

Number of people, location, dates to avoid, intended use. A quote follows within 24 working hours, with a slot grid you can circulate.

  2. The session at your offices

Twenty minutes to set up, then bookings every ten to fifteen minutes. Everyone sees their own images on screen and picks their own. A catch-up session is planned for whoever is missing.

  3. Gallery within 48 hours

Online selection gallery, then final files within five working days for a portrait, or seven working days after your selection for a full team, in high resolution and web versions.

A member of Headshots Matter

I am a member of Headshots Matter, an international network of professional portrait photographers. If you have worked with one of its members elsewhere, in London, New York or Berlin, you already know what to expect. The same standard of portrait, applied here in Paris.

The studio is in Gentilly, five minutes from the Paris ring road, and I work across Paris and the inner suburbs, La Défense included.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you speak English on set?

Yes. The whole session is run in English if that is what your team is comfortable with, from the briefing call to the selection of the final images. Mixed teams are the norm rather than the exception.

How long does one person take?

Thirty minutes for an individual portrait, ten to fifteen minutes per person for a team shoot. Everyone comes down on a booked slot and goes straight back to work. No one loses a morning waiting in a corridor.

Do you come to our offices?

Yes, and for a team it is the rule. The mobile studio goes up in twenty minutes in a meeting room: I need a space of at least 15 m², a power socket and a door that closes. The Gentilly studio, five minutes from Paris, is available for individual sessions and for latecomers.

When do we get the photos?

The selection gallery is online within 48 hours. Final files follow within five working days for a portrait, or seven working days after your selection for a full team, in high resolution and web versions, named so your team does not have to rename them one by one.

Who owns the images, and for how long?

Usage rights are defined in the quote: supports, duration and territory are written down, never left implicit. The standard scope covers your website, LinkedIn, press and printed material.

What about employees who do not want to be photographed?

No one is forced, and French law would not allow it. Written consent is collected before the session, and an employee can withdraw for the future. Staff who decline keep their place in the org chart without a portrait.

How much does it cost, and how do we get a quote?

Portraits start at €290 excl. VAT in the studio and €520 excl. VAT at your offices, one finished image included. A full team starts at €550 excl. VAT for five people, and travel within Paris and the inner suburbs is included. Tell me the number of people, the location and the period you have in mind: a quote follows within 24 working hours, with the session length, the number of retouched images and the usage rights.
